In a brief ten years SoundRock has grown from the husband and wife team of Mark and Melissa Berman working in a converted garage at the back of their house, to a suite of offices in Linbro Park which are being expanded as we speak.

Some time ago Mark recognized a real need in the property market for a compact, one-stop facility that would handle Retail, Commercial, Industrial and Residential Properties, Leasing and Tenant Coordination.

Mark’s vision has rapidly become a reality with the creation of these two separate divisions. Either division can operate independently or as part of the team depending upon the needs of their clients.

More and more rural communities are demanding the kind of facilities and services previously only available in city centres. SoundRock has become increasingly involved in remarkable new Shopping Centres in undeveloped regions such as Orange Farm and Apel. Perhaps even more exciting is the massive new Shopping Centre in Gugulethu, Cape Town’s huge township, whose residents have for so many years had to journey into the city in order to buy their goods. Very soon they will be able to visit a world class Shopping Centre in the very heart of their community, with the knowledge that major supermarket chains, clothing and furniture stores as well as top class restaurants and fast food outlets are now right on their doorstep.
